Description

Tender salmon balls with a crispy exterior paired with a creamy avocado sauce for a delightful dining experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillets, cooked and flaked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Form small balls about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  2. Fry the salmon balls in a non-stick frying pan with hot oil until golden brown, about 4–5 minutes on each side.
  3. Prepare the creamy avocado sauce by mashing the avocado in a bowl and stirring in Greek yogurt, lime juice, and salt.
  4. Serve the salmon balls warm with the avocado sauce on the side, garnishing with additional green onions.

Notes

For best texture, prepare your mixture in advance and fry the salmon balls just before serving. You can also bake them at 375°F (190°C) for a healthier option.
