Description

Delightful sesame chicken kabobs that balance savory, sweet, and slightly tangy flavors, perfect for grilling or cozy family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar in a mixing bowl until fully combined.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they’re fully coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat for efficient cooking.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto your skewers, packing them closely together for juicy results.
  5. Grill the kabobs for about 12-15 minutes, utilizing tongs to turn them occasionally. Look for a nice char and ensure the chicken is cooked through (an internal temperature of 165°F).
  6. Remove the kabobs from the grill and sprinkle them with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Marinate chicken a day before for even more flavor. Can substitute chicken with firm tofu for a vegetarian option.
