Description
Delightful sesame chicken kabobs that balance savory, sweet, and slightly tangy flavors, perfect for grilling or cozy family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
Instructions
- Whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar in a mixing bowl until fully combined.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they’re fully coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat for efficient cooking.
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto your skewers, packing them closely together for juicy results.
- Grill the kabobs for about 12-15 minutes, utilizing tongs to turn them occasionally. Look for a nice char and ensure the chicken is cooked through (an internal temperature of 165°F).
- Remove the kabobs from the grill and sprinkle them with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Marinate chicken a day before for even more flavor. Can substitute chicken with firm tofu for a vegetarian option.
