- 200g Allzweckmehl (all-purpose flour)
- 200g Zucker (sugar)
- 150g Butter
- 3 Eier (eggs)
- 1 TL Backpulver (baking powder)
- Saft und Schale von 1 Zitrone (juice and zest of 1 lemon)
- 200g frische Erdbeeren (fresh strawberries)
- Puderzucker (powdered sugar)
- Schlagsahne oder zusätzliche Früchte (whipped cream or additional fruits, optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a round cake pan.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Crack the eggs in one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Add the zest and juice of one lemon into the mixture.
- Combine the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl and gradually fold this into your butter mixture.
- Wash and chop the fresh strawberries into small pieces and gently fold them into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-40 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool before transferring it to a wire rack and dusting with powdered sugar.
